Requirements for Operator:
(1) Must have valid/updated Bangladeshi (S2) Amateur Radio License.
(2) Must have experience on operating HF radio and DXing.
(3) Must have the willingness and mindset to endure difficult operating condition.
(4) Operators having their own radio is preferable.
(5) And Finally, team player.

Requirements for Apprentice/Volunteer:
(1) Must have experience to work as volunteer / camping / adventure etc.
(2) Must have the willingness and mindset to endure difficult operating/living condition.
(3) Willingness to play as a team and help as much possible to make the event a success.
(4) For apprentice with ham license, must be willing to question and learn about different antenna systems, radios, propagation and be ready to start Dxing.

Cost: Participants (Operator/Volunteer/Apprentice) need to pay 20,000/-(approximately, might change based on real expediture) to cover their transportation and food for the whole event. This is a subsidized estimated cost.

What to expect?

We will be operating from remote island where there won’t be any hotel room or adequate washroom, no electricity. Mostly you need to have your own camping gear – i.e. Small Tent, Sleeping bag etc. We will have volunteer to help us managing the camp and food – but you have to be prepared to participate in any work for the whole team.

Mobile phone network is very bad in the site location.

কি হবে ওখানেঃ
যে কোন ডিএক্সপিডিশন হচ্ছে নতুন কোণ জায়গায় যেয়ে দলবদ্ধ বা একক ভাবে ডিএক্সিং করা। ডিএক্সিং মানে দুরের স্টেশনের সাথে বেতারের মাধ্যমে যোগাযোগ করা।
[বিঃদ্রঃ ইন্টারনেট ব্যাবহার করে যোগাযোগ (ইকোলিঙ্ক, অলস্টারলিঙ্ক, ডিএমআর ইন্টারনেট গেটওয়ে, জেল্লো, হোয়াটসএপ) কে ভ্যালিড/গ্রহনযোগ্য ডিএক্স কিউএসো ধরা হয় না।]

ডিএক্সপিডিশনের সর্ব প্রথম শর্ত হচ্ছে কাজটা করে আনন্দ পেতে হবে। এটা আমাদের শখের অংশ – ডিউটি না। আমরা শখের কাজের জন্য নিজেরা অর্থ ও সময় ব্যায় করে এতদুরে যেয়ে এত কস্ট করে কয়েকদিন থাকবো।

যেহেতু আমাদের এই আইওটা ডিএক্সপিডিশন এর কথা বিশ্বের সকল হ্যাম রেডিও রিলেটেড নিউজ পোর্টালে চলে আসবে, সেই সময়টা হাজারে হাজারে হ্যাম রেডিও অপারেটর চেস্টা করবে আমাদের সাথে যোগাযোগ করার। স্পেশাল কলসাইন এর কারনে এই কিউএসো গুলি এক্সট্রা ভাবে একটু আবেদন তৈরী করে অন্যদের মাঝে। এক্সপিডিশন এর পর বিভিন্ন হ্যাম রেডিও ম্যাগাজিনে অনেকসময় আরটিকেল ছাপা হয়। এই ইভেন্টের জন্য একটি কাগজের কিউএসেল কারড ছাপানো হবে স্পেন থেকে, এই কারডে সকলের নাম থাকবে।

মনে রাখতে হবেঃ
১। এটা কোন পিকনিক না, সবাই কে শিখতে হবে ও ডিএক্স করতে হবে।
২। এটা শুধুমাত্র যন্ত্রপাতি প্রদর্শনের জন্য ডেমো ক্যাম্প/ ডে ক্যাম্প না- এখানে লাইভ সিস্টেম সবাইকে ব্যাবহার করতে হবে।
৩। শরটকাট ও ইনভ্যালিড (ইমেইল/ফোন স্ক্যাজিউল) কিইউএসও করা যাবে না।

Budget:
Initial budget for covering your food and transportation should be around BD Taka 20,000/- for each person for this 12days expedition (including travel to/from Dhaka).
